@m4v3rick I have been on your forum today, it looks great, there are some brilliant features! 🙂.
I am also looking to run a football forum so was gladly introduced to your site by @[deleted].
I wanted to translate my forum (that isn't running yet) to other languages so fans that don't understand English can post too.
I'm unable to upload an image but I'm wondering how you managed to set the site to translate between English, dutch & French as in the drop down menu. I would have sent a DM but I don't know how create one 😉.

JAC have a look at https://discuss.flarum.org/d/23702-friendsofflarum-discussion-language. However, if memory serves me correctly, this only translates the Flarum Core and not the actual language being posted.

I think the closest you'll get with that is including Google Translate into your forum.

Sorry for the late reply and thanks 🙂.
Our community is very happy with the forum, so Kudos to Flarum! A few featues still missing for us, but nothing to be worried about.

We do use Linguist by FriendsOfFlarum and of course the language packages @Justoverclock mentioned.

However Linguist, also already mentioned, won't translate the posts, but at least the Flarum core and most extensions (we have quite a lot I assume).

hello, of course you can install all the languages actually supported (see https://github.com/flarum-lang)
and your users can use the language selector (enabled by you in admin dashboard)

but at moment there's no automatic translation extension.

JAC with composer simply run the code

composer require flarum-lang/language-name (you can find the command in the readme when you navigate the repository:

example (italian):
composer require flarum-lang/italian:"*"

Thanks, I did try this last time I used Flarum and if you select 'Spanish' and post in that section then it only shows for the Spanish drop-down and not on the native English forum language.

Absolutely, this was the result for me when I used it.

Thanks for getting back and confirming the extension you use.

I think I will stick with the native language of English for now and see how the following develops, there's probably no need for me to complicate things right now if there is no decent solution available yet.
