010101 This one is great but you need to add shadow to the logo. And you need to find a better resolution version of the logo.

tolgaaaltas Oh yeah, shadow. Thank you! Shadow would be better on a lot of these. And yes, all of them need a better logo. I don't know where to find high res Flarum logos.

010101 You can pull the SVG straight from the HTML of our home page (infinite resolution) and then use something like Inkscape to get just the logo if you need.

tankerkiller125 Legal page there seems to say don't modify the logo? Or am I readying that wrong? Does that mean I can't add shadow to it?

010101 From my understanding shadows and things like that would be fine, but doing something like say putting a person in the center of the logo part would not be allowed and/or changing the color wouldn't be allowed. Our legal guy @katos would have to give the specifics but I do believe that things like shadows would be fine.

tankerkiller125 Not a big deal. Because, if the foundation wants to use anything I posted above, but wants an official version with tweaks like logo shadow, or smaller logo, or larger, or whatever, I'm available to do the work for free, someone can connect with me and email me a high-res logo. Or, someone else can easily pop the logo on top of any background like I was doing above.

I guess what I'm saying is, I don't need a high-res logo unless someone wants me to get serious and seriously make something. 🙂

You can use the logo any way you want for fan art, we're okay with that. But if you use the logo for something (website, extension or anything else) then it needs to adhere to our legal guidelines.

Zeokat 😂 Nah. I mean, maybe, if someone uses a copyrighted image. I stick with services like unsplash where all the images are free to use even in commercial products. It's always nice to give the photographer credit when possible. Unless that's not what you meant.

Flarum would never come after anyone for what they have on their personal computers.

I've opened this discussion, not as a trap, but as a way to encourage some of the talent in our community that doesn't always lie in the programming realm.

Zeokat fan art that is not redistributed for commercial gain cannot (and naturally will not) be taken down for trademark breach as this falls under the fair usage policies.
Furthermore, as @jordanjay29 says; this discussion is opened not as a trap in the slightest but as a means to reach out to our amazingly talented community and obtain a wallpaper that fits our requirements.

Without meaning to be overly cheesy (sorry @luceos!) our software is built “by the community, for the community” and this thread embodies that philosophy.

I think Zeokat what he said its very true but somehow that was old ages ago. This new generation so many things are left to open world, and in other areas you shouldn't denie yourself so much, who knows you could turn out famous for making just a piece of wallpaper and if something arise later complaints, mmh you made the name and who will arrest a guy whose a productive citizen?

Deals can be made quickly and a cutouts solved. Just like your credit score, Good credit score doesn't mean anything
