Delete user and content

As we have it planned now, users could submit "deletion requests", where the admins would either:

Delete the account and associated content
Delete the account, not the content
Anonymize the account (random username, email, etc), keep the content

wolfman which basically means exporting the users data in a machine readable format (JSON, CSV, ...).

We plan to support this too, at least for core content.

Justoverclock Well, I don’t know the law exactly, but you can ask for account deletion and not for content

By default Flarum saves the IP of every post made in the database - and that is regarded as personal data. At least that has to be remedied when deleting an account. askvortsov Will that be adressed when Deleting/Anonymizing the account and keeping the content?

What is the state of this integration/extension release?
We need to remove users and their content.

A new GDPR extension will be released and announced on extension Tag in a long future or the feature described will be released with an update of an existent extension?

In the first case I will monitor extension Tag, in the second I will subscribe to update notification of the existing extension if you give me the link to them.

Hi all and especially askvortsov
I'm a CM for Nothing Tech and I'm currently facing a big challenge with a deleted user.

One of our former community members asked me to delete their user and data, so I proceeded with a deletion. Now every discussion which has one or more of their posts is buggy. The side navigation doesn't work and it's a total shambles. It seems that the discussions are trying to load these deleted posts and that is causing the bugs/crash.

On top of that, the user returned to the forums by registering with the same email and username, but a different nickname. The username is recorded as Deleted. And this "new user" has 0 posts/discussions and is now currently suspended. Just explained this bit as context because I'm unsure if it's impacting this whole issue.

Is there anything that can be done to eliminate/repair this problem?
