Hari it's still related to Flarum, so IMO it's probably best to keep the discussion here. This will make sure that others (not necessarily FreeFlarum users) can see this discussion and get help. FreeFlarum's thread is mainly intended for things related to FreeFlarum (e. g.: forum down, an error occurred, etc. - we do not have the capacity to always offer an all-in-one help for Flarum).

Anyways, here's what I know:

Go to Pusher.com.
Click on the "Get your free account" button.
Complete the Sign Up process.
Use "Channels"
Name it how you want, it doesn't matter. Select an Europe cluster (close to yours/FreeFlarum's server). Don't tick the "Multiple environments" checkbox. Frontend can be set to "Vanilla JS", backend to "Laravel" (I think that doesn't matter, your main objective here is to obtain the credentials)
On the left sidebar, click on "App Keys"
Copy the credentials from that page to your Flarum Pusher configuration (the values in quotes, without quotes)

I tried to make it as detailed as I could. I hope it helps. But you can also browse some existing threads for further details/help.

SKevo i thought some ssh commands need to be executed to enable pusher on freeflarum so i replied like that. 😅

Elliot if you mean discussion page/posts reload and there isn't a setting to toggle it, then I assume yes

Hello. This is my another try for configure pusher, (although it seems that there is practically nothing to configure).
Anyway, I tried in several different environments (debian, windows, ubuntu), tried two years ago, tried a week ago, and always i have the same result.
Notifications about new posts (yellow bar on the list of topics) appear in real time, the posts themselves also appear in real time, but the notification counter on the bell (about mentions, replies, quotes and likes) does not appear.
Moreover, if there is any event with a notification exists, then when you click on the bell, a notification about this event is displayed on the drop down list, but the counter on the bell does not change. It changes only after the page is reloaded.

So... It really looks like the pusher is working on its side and sending all notifications in real time and the browser is receiving these notifications, but for some reason these notifications are not showing up in the flarum interface(exactly on the notification bell).

As funny as it may seem, this precisely rather minor, but very annoying fact stops me from moving to flarum.
What could be wrong? What else I can do?
