How to add forum in subdirectory to Google Search Console

I have wordpress on the root domain, i.e., test.com and on the subdirectory, i.e., test.com/forums, Flarum is installed. The root domain is already added to Google Search Console (GSC) and its sitemaps is already uploaded within that property. How do I go about adding the forums to GSC?

1, It won't allow adding it using the domain option, as it doesn't recognise the subdirectory.

I tried adding using the URL prefix option, but, I saw the rankings for my WP page going down with that.

What do you guys do? Any help is appreciated.

Wellwisher Thanks for that. I already have those extensions. My question was regarding adding the website after installing those extensions to Google Search Console. I know Google will eventually crawl through the forums. But, I wanted better access to search analytics by adding the site to GSC.

I have WordPress on my root directory and Flarum in a subdirectory.

From what I read here:

It's best to select your root directory and let google do its magic.

Maybe if you link to your forum from your main page, Google will be able to discover everything?

Thats one possibility. The other is to just create sitemap.xml in the roor dir /

Add the "HTML Head Items" feature, there you can add the html tag from google search console into <head> and get verified.
