ksmisama can you link to the existing extension? I can't find which one you are referring to.
I remember some recent changes to make links between the no-js page and single page application load the same content which might allow an extension to load an arbitrary page of discussion results. Previously it was entirely impossible, a list of discussion always had to start from the top and load every page in between.
I'm not sure that's something we want to add in core itself though, it clutters the interface and might not be a good solution to the problem it's trying to solve.
If a search is performed I would say there should be as few results as possible and sorted by relevance, in which case you rarely need to go to the next page.
And if you're trying to find posts from a given time period but with no specific search, a date range search gambit might make more sense? Flarum doesn't have a date search gambit bundled but that's an easy thing to implement. The more complex thing is making it easy to type in the search bar since it won't be obvious it exists and how to format it.
