Is it possible to see which user clicked to shared link?

Is it possible to see which user clicked to shared link? I share links on wbsite but I wonder which user clicked and viewed link. How can I see? Currently there is extension to see which user viewed the discussion or entry but there is no for links. It is not common used but I think good extension idea.

If you're only looking for this information as the site owner, any analytics service should give you outlinks reports.

If you use my Matomo extension or FoF Analytics with Matomo you can even track the exact usernames who clicked any link that way.

To display public statistics to other visitors, I don't think anyone has created such an extension yet. Such an extension could also be powered by an existing analytics integration so that the information collection doesn't need to be implemented 2 times.
