Composer install ok, then blank page with status 500/403

The issue

I downloaded Flarum with composer on my web hosting subdomain and then got blank page when trying web install. Got over this with shell install "php flarum install". Anyway still I can't get flared to work and all I get is blank page with status 500 in console when heading to forum.baseaddict.com/public/ or 403 when heading to forum.baseaddict.com. When did the same procedure installing on local server it worked perfectly. Please help what can be the issue, I tried to search, contact my webhosting provider (they said it looks like application error), ant this post is my desperate call for help. :/

bousheck looks like your server is openresty, I've never heard of it but it supposedly supports rewrite rules. You will need to set that up so that requests that don't hit files get redirected to index.php.

luceos thanks for reaching! So you mean redirect requests which don't hit files to ./public/index.php in .htaccess in root dir? Because there is no index file in flarum root, just site.php, extend.php and config.php, index.php is seems to be in public folder. Can you please suggest how would you ideally set .htaccess file then? There is flarum .htaccess in public folder already so I believe we are now talking about .htaccess in root dir? I did try but as I'm not that familiar with .htaccess I just wasn't able to solve this puzzle.

You need to direct all traffic of forum.baseaddict.com to /home/baseaddict.com/sub/forum/public. Not the root installation path of Flarum. The .htaccess file is for apache and webservers that understand the file, I haven't seen any indication that openresty supports these files so you will need to manually apply the rewrite rules for your site based on the .htacces we ship Flarum with.

Well I know server supports .htaccess files and rewrite rules. I believe it runs Apache 2.4 and I managed to set folder for forum.baseaddict.com at /baseaddict.com/sub/forum/public. Now all requests are heading to public/index.php but I'm still getting response 500. :/

I'm wondering if DIR in site.php outputs "/data/1/6/16ff3434-d883-49d3-b930-85679420f2bf/baseaddict.com/sub/forum" and instalation path is saying "/home/baseaddict.com/sub/forum" if that can mean something?

Well I finally found it.. Was a bit tricky to get the error which was causing it but composer got fatal error expected higher version of PHP then which was actually enabled on hosting. 8.0 vs 8.1. after turning it to 8.1 it finally loaded! Thank you for your time!
