If you click the discussion title "In <name>" just above the post, it will open the discussion at the correct place to read the post. Is this what you're asking about? It might not be obvious but it's there.
Something I discussed with a client was the possibility of making the date be a link tag, even if the behavior stays the same as currently, to allow faster copy of the URL via right click button or new tab opening via center click. This shouldn't be very difficult to change. But I don't think that's the subject of this question?
