tfcbhal no softaculous has a two-fold upgrade process from what I can see:
- first the softaculous team has to do an upgrade and release a new version of their software
- second each hosting provider using softaculous needs to upgrade it
As the softaculous installer does not take into consideration extensions, you'd be better of installing it on your hosting plan by yourself using composer; a) install composer (getcomposer.org), b) install flarum (docs.flarum.org/install). Doing this teaches you the basics of installing extensions later on. We are working on a UI to simplify things, but it's not ready yet.
