Flarum as a CMS?

Flagrow Upload allows you to upload files, but I understand it's not a explorer-style manager, as files are directly attached to a given post.

Now I want to make a request: could anyone imagine, to build up a document explorer (content management system) as a Flarum-extension for my political party? We are looking for a new system and are really positive about Flarum. The next step would be, talking about a reward.

I know, I can't expect, getting a perfect system in one or two months. But it would be really helpful, if we would know, that such a system is in development and could be adopted to the described needs. Then we wouldn't need to use another forum software.

If anyone could help me/us, extending Flarum with a document management system, please let me know!

I would recommend what @clarkwinkelmann said.

Use sijad's flarum extensions (pages and links) to simulate pages and a menu bar.
Use something like Google Forms to make a contact us form, or code your own
Use the flarum upload tool.

I just don't get, what you have in mind with the second point: why a contact form?

And do you know, if there exists a graphic overview anywhere, how Flagrow Upload will be looking like? The point is, I need a forum + nested folder structure to organize documents, not just one upload after another.

First off, Flarum is not a CMS, although it is very flexible, it's just isn't that.
Secondly, if you need such specific functionality, either (have someone) built it or look for a document management tool.

Flarum is still in beta. As a result there aren't many (maintained) extensions.

Hernandulon Normally a cms would have a contact us page with a contact form.... flarum doesn't have a plugin for this

I'm not the only one, looking for such a combination of Flarum + document management tool.

An external document management tool just wouldn't be accepted by many people. If you need to log in and get used to another platform as well, you try to avoid it. We've had this experience already. Our users are not really internet oriented, as they are more older people. So the acceptance would be quite higher, if they just needed to log in once, and then could use the whole platform with forum and shared documents.
I know, that Flarum ist still in beta and that it's not a CMS. The question is, if someone/some people could build up a document management tool as an extension for Flarum.

Alternatively, we could use a WordPress-Forum plus document management extension, but that's not really up to date. I definitely would prefer Flarum!

portal or front page extension would be great, maybe admin could select threads to show them in front page with a author, date, profile picture, title a resume (first lines) and "read more" button.

@Blueh good ideas! I also have a question, don't know if @luceos or @clarkwinkelmann would have the answers to it... If I set a static page (using sijad's static pages extension) as the homepage, what would the link be to access the all discussions page?
