meetdilip H1 signifies the most important text that the article/post signifies. It's an SEO thing and it's all over the place, you actually don't need me to tell you this.

For home page the H1 should be the site name, but for single posts / single pages, the H1 should be the post / page title (see the 'headline structure for your single posts/ single pages' section).
I've been in the SEO business for many years before I became a developer. I highly recommend changing it, all the largest CMS software have adapted​ to this a long time ago. I've been using the heading structure technique on my websites with great success (of course there are other factors that are important as well like semantic code, text location on the page, backlinks from pages with high reputation, page title, +1 votes, related keywords, original content, page load speed, etc.).
