Capybara we can expect any premium extension to update fairly soon after an official release hits. If an update is not being provided after a while we will probably have to cancel running recurring subscriptions, the lifetime/one-time payments will probably be reviewed individually.

We just tagged v2.0.0-beta.2 which fixes a number of bugs and issues found in the first beta. Thank you to all those who helped with testing and reported issues.

Once again we encourage extension developers to start upgrading their extensions to 2.0 compatibility before a stable release so that we may address any major issues that would require breaking changes in the core software.

SnakePromise there will be no built-in conversions of data from third party extensions.

SnakePromise regardless, there are no conversions.

Also, byobu (private discussions) is still very different. It will likely still be updated for 2.0 by the fof team.

I'm surprised that extension manager is not bundled with Flarum 2.0.0 - oversight or by design? (I assume by design because how do you forget it?)

I guess I'm mostly curious about the thinking behind it.

The new maintenance mode options under advanced look like it will be very helpful, can the maintenance view be overridden/modified ?

In the future, I would really like to see the Messages plugin include an option to limit how many messages a user can have within their inbox, as well as an option to permanently delete if not read in X days.

The extension manager with 1.8 is bundled if using the tarballs, not when using composer. With 2.0 we will likely do the same thing as using composer directly is much more reliable and you can always add it anyway.
