Protection against spam accounts

Hi,

I hope this is the right place to ask...

What is a good anti spam / bot filter for signing up new accounts? I feel the forum I now run is getting a lot of spam users. How do you deal with this? Currently, I use Akismet. But I feel I want another layer of protection at account signup. Any advice?

Discuss uses Cloudflare Turnstile during registration, we noticed a massive drop in bot sign-ups once we implemented it.
