omoco check your webserver documentation to customize the "webroot" and select the public folder as the webroot (called documentroot on apache)
If your host doesn't allow customizing the root but only provides a default folder, you can move the Flarum files to that folder and use the following instructions to remove the /public part https://docs.flarum.org/install#customizing-paths
