Error 400 and "Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again"

Hello,
shortly after fully configuring the forum and uploading plugins, I periodically started getting a notification saying "Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again". The notification appears on various occasions, often when logging in, and does not disappear until I clear the browser cache. In console I'm getting error 400.

MSI216 it's possible the error is generated by the webserver rather than Flarum. You could check the body of the HTTP response. There are 2 main ways:

Enable Flarum config mode in config.php. When the error happens again, a "debug" button on the page will give access to the response. However if the response is not in JSON format you might only see "null"
Open the browser developer tools and go to the network tab. When the error happens, the 400 response will appear in the list and you will be able to see the raw response content

You should probably remove the public folder and make sure your forum is being accessed through the correct URL. Usually if there's a cross-origin error the error message would be different but it could still play a role https://docs.flarum.org/install#customizing-paths
