Softaculous installation boot errror

When I try to install flarum on my VPS with the softaculous option I see the following error:

Flarum encountered a boot error. Details have been logged to the Flarum log file

The problem seems to be the PHP 8.2, if I change it to PHP 7.4 it works just fine. Is there a way to fix this?

A likely cause would be that you don't have php warnings hidden in the php.ini for PHP 8. Check the display_errors configuration and set it to recommended production value

Hey, sorry for the delay. I was hoping my host could just do it instead, but no success I quote what they told me. I have also added the logs. I'm surprised there is any problem since I had this forum installed on smaller shared hosts before with zero problems.

We reviewed the matter and the Flarum log file as suggested by the message. The log file contains information that is web development related and we are unable to troubleshoot this as this area is not in our expertise. We also performed online research to check for any available alternatives to using one of the latest PHP versions with this application on a shared environment. Unfortunately, to no avail as no information on this appears to be present we can attempt to test this. It is best to check with the application developers so they can provide further insight on any available alternatives for using a higher PHP version with the application on a shared environment where sudo privileges cannot be provided. If the developers of the application have any suggestions, please let us know. Alternatively, you can continue utilizing PHP 7.4 with the application even though this version does not receive the updates as previously, it is still a viable version that is widely used.

aimata this latest error means the php-pdo or php-mysql system plugin is not enabled. On shared hosting it should be enabled by default. If not check your hosting admin panel for enabled PHP extensions or ask your hosting.
