No cursor while replying to a post in mobile view

After opening a post, and scrolling to the bottom I click reply. The reply composer opens up, but without the keyboard and cursor. Only after clicking on the text "Write a Reply" or the body of the composer does the cursor appear.

Is there something we can do to get the cursor immediately after clicking the reply.

Note: This behaviour exclusive to using the "Write a reply..." at the bottom of the page in mobile view. Using the "Reply" feature that is present on every post works well in the mobile view.

It might be related to this issue on GitHub... Not 100% sure.

Device used: iPhone 6
OS: iOS 9.3

Along with this, we have to hit the text exactly where its written "Write a Reply..." to invoke the keyboard. Most users wont naturally go for that because their thumb wouldn't reach that far up.

Ideally, as @maha_funk said, the reply area should be activated, and the keyboard should be ready to go as soon as reply is hit.

And this presents only on the iPhone? Regardless of browser?

Any other mobile devices reporting this issue? I can't confirm it on my LG G4 Android with Chrome.

I got my hands on a Samsung Galaxy S7 to try it out. Lo and behold, it works perfectly fine there.

jordanjay29 : So it looks like the issue is with iOS, regardless of browsers. I did a little more research as to why both the browsers behave the same, and found this little piece of information

“Chrome for iOS is derived from the WebKit browser codebase, as is Apple's Mobile Safari. However, while Apple allows only Safari to access iOS facilities like the iOS Nitro engine, Chrome uses Apple's UIWebView for loading and rendering content.”

So it seems there are two distinct issues here, and both belong to iOS:

The text area not being activated automatically and ready to take input when you hit reply.
The text area going out of view the moment you type any character.

Yeah, I wondered if it was with iOS's keyboard trigger. On Android, any time a text field is in focus the keyboard pops up. On iOS, it might be a little different.

The cursor Works fine for me on iOS Chrome, but it is difficult to select text (in any mobile browser)
