Updated to Flarum 1.8.3 and now nothing is working

Ive done everything I can possible think of such as trying to downgrade multiple times but this happened:

My admin dashboard still works for some reason but you cant do anything on the site itself.

silvereen so your dependencies (this case, Flarum/flarum, are locked at specific versions.

You would be best editing your composer.json to add * to the versions, then running the update.

another update, now the entire forum is blank and the admin dashboard in unresponsive:

Alright so ive restored a backup back to 1.7.2 but id still like to know the issue here so next time I can properly upgrade to 1.8.3

You need to upgrade again and look at the logs, https://docs.flarum.org/troubleshoot
