install flarum on my website without /public folder

The issue

i have tried all the documentation that shows me how to install flarum without the public directory, and still redirects to the public directory. please help. ive changed all the files that was recommended to change by others but doesnt work for me. i have done everything such as change the ../site.php to ./site.php
ive changed the config.php file too, moved the public files to my root directory etc.

please help

ibtdev are using any kind of server administration/web hosting tool? The easiest way is to point the root directory of your web host to the public directory. If we know what you are using we might be able to direct you into the right direction.

There's also a possibility your browser cached a redirect on your first attempt. Try accessing the website in private browsing or with a different browser to confirm.
