Hello. I need help with the installation.
I downloaded flarum on localhost and managed to configure it perfectly. But when I have to upload the project to the server I have a problem in the database, (I can only manage the database from within the server's website, and they are the ones who create the name of the database, and the name of the user.).

I have tried to install flarum from the host itself by first creating the database and inserting that data into the initial configuration of flarum, and I get an error when filling the database.

I have also tried configuring flarum on localhost and then uploading it to the host, modifying the database access data in config.php and uploading the database on the other hand and I get this error: Flarum encountered a startup error. The details have been recorded in the Flarum log file.

I no longer understand how I should upload it. If anyone has ever worked with this type of servers, I would appreciate your help. Thank you so much.

Boret you should probably get help from your hosting provider.

If Flarum encounters a boot error, you need to check for the log at storage/logs from the installation path. You can also (temporarily) enable debug in your config.php by setting false to true after debug.

After much review, I had an error in the password. I have managed to move forward. send the destination to /public and when opened it does not load the page. stays here: AutoPublicados Community Forum

Without the logs there's nothing we can do but guess. Please seek the logs.

Boret I’ve been in your shoes not very long ago. While I’m no where near an expert I’m getting better and better at setting up and running a Flarum forum. The devs created the zip files with Extension Manager included to make it easier for those on shared hosting which previously if you were on shared hosting it was hard to run Flarum unless they gave you ssh access. Now it’s much easier but I’ve gotten so used to using SSH it doesn’t bother me that bad anymore. I am using a VPS with Hetzner and also using Laravrel Forge to make setting things up easier. I’ve found this combination amazing especially for someone like me that doesn’t know really about running a VPS.
