Generic 500 error when posting topic

The issue

Hey, I'm trying to post a topic on my FreeFlarum forum, but getting a 500 error. I initially saw an issue with Pusher not being configured, so I just turned it off, but now instead of getting a Pusher error I'm getting a generic one. I have no idea why it's doing this.

Post some information here like what you expected to see, but got instead. If you can find any logs in /storage/logs or in your browser console that relate to the issue, add them.

Please help as I am way too confused. Also idk how to access PHP logs or anything since it's FreeFlarum. Thanks

Bost we need the error log to help. Here are the general instructions for self hosted forum https://docs.flarum.org/troubleshoot

I believe FreeFlarum has a section in their management panel to access the logs. If you don't find it you will have to contact their support as they are not affiliated with the Flarum team or this forum.

Bost I've checked your FreeFlarum forum, and the following error was logged: flarum.ERROR: ErrorException: [VAPID] Public key should be 65 bytes long when decoded.

In order to fix this, please go to Administration > Extensions > Progressive Web App and click on "Reset VAPID keys". I have never been able to figure out what exactly causes this issue at FreeFlarum, unfortunately. Maybe I should have a look into it again someday...

Thanks for the response Clark, and yes, that is correct, all Flarum related logs are available at https://freeflarum.com/settings/forum_settings under "View Flarum logs", however this is subject to change in the future
