Recommendation for a student-friendly Hosting Service

Hello Peeps!I am quite new to using Flarum, and I have installed it locally on my computer. I have installed various extensions, modified the basic appearance, and added what I want to my forum.

Now, I want to host or deploy Flarum on a hosting service so students in my community can use it. I have little to no knowledge on how to host a website, as I have never hosted anything before. Can anyone recommend a good hosting service for free, or at least cheap, for a student?

I will only host Flarum for 3 months, and the community size is just 500–2000 students.

I also know Freeflarum, but I want to deploy the currrent forum that I have locally. Does anyone have a suggestion on what the best action should be? Should I host it, or are there any other alternatives that I can do this?

jazz09 you can use any hosting service that allows SSH access and composer usage. You can for example use a Digitial Ocean Droplet (https://www.digitalocean.com/). But any shared hosting allowing ssh access and composer is fine and maybe preferable if you don't have webhosting knowledge. You might want to use something that holds a data center in the area you are targeting your forum at.

jazz09 From what I can see this hosting is able to support Flarum. SSH access is available and you can also use Softaculous.com.

GreXXL I am now deploying my Flarum website and it seems like Softaculous is installing a fresh Flarum to the site. I wanted to deploy my current Flarum on my Local host, is there a way to do that?
