Virtual Host | Live

I've installed Flarum locally and it works fine.
Now I want to install it on my live server, but according to Flarum doc, I have to create a virtualHost pointing to /flarum/public . I did it locally with WAMP but I don't know how to do it on my live server.
Do you have a doc on how to do that? Adding a virtualHost for Flarum under a Laravel website ..

Laravel and Flarum local installation:

laravel new forum
cd forum
composer create-project flarum/flarum

My App entry-point (production):
example.com/public_html

My Forum app, in Laravel (production)
example.com/laravel/flarum/public

alex32 I highly recommend using a seperate subdomain for your app and forum. It's much easier as these directories would be independent.

If you still want to move forward understand that installing Laravel in a subpath is very unwise as the .env file needs to be outside of the public path or it will be accessible (with your database credentials) to the internet.

The docs for rewriting the paths is https://docs.flarum.org/install#customizing-paths, but please do rethink this as you will create an insecure Installation right from the bat.

Sorry, my bad: I'm using OLS not Nginx - just removed Nginx from my prev. post

As per Laravel installation: I use a secure deployment as recommended by Laravel doc.
Here are my directories on the live server:

example.com/
laravel   ** framework is here , incl. .env , outside public_html
laravel/flarum/public  ** this is the folder created by composer | Flarum installation  page
public_html  ** my app is here

If the above is not recommended, then based on [1,2] below, can you pls confirm if these steps are correct in order to install Flarum on a sub-domain:

Add the A record 'forum' to my DSN (CFlare) | Done
Create a 'forum.example.com' sub-domain in CyPanel | Done
Test the sub-domain | Done, it works
Download Flarum via Composer in: forum.example.com | TBC
Visit forum.example.com and install Flarum | TBC
Update the URL in config.php (url="forum.example.com") - optional since it'd have been done already in #5 above | TBC
(optional) Clear the cache: > php flarum cache:clear

Just out of curiosity, is there any reason you're using openlitespeed and nginx at the same time?
