Rookie trying to install Falrum

The issue

I am trying to install Flarum, at a webhost. I only have access to FTP, and databases, but I can't run command lines.
I have previously been able to install wordpress, webshops, IPs forum board etc on it, by just uploading the files and visiting an installation page to complete the installation. I had hopped that unpacking the right archive whould have worked, but it does not seem to.

I picked flarum-v1.x-php8.3.zip with public path, but I am not sure what path to visit in order to install?

wetfish I installed the same way. Just visit the folder where the files are, and you can install.

Thanks guys - I figured it out, but i also found out that several of the plugins that need to be installed on the server were nor available and the host was not willing to install them. So I will have to find other alternatives to Flarum at this point. When and if the community actually picks up, I may consider changing to a server that can support Flarum

wetfish I'm sorry to hear the support level of your hosting provider has been lacking. Most shared hosting providers should be able to run Flarum flawlessly to be honest. For the time being you can check out https://freeflarum.com, as they provide free hosting (with a few rules).
