Foundation restructure
Behind the scenes, we updated our structure to be more redundant and future-proof. The foundation that was founded to safeguard and continuously improve Flarum was only run by @luceos due to board members leaving the project. As the new chairman, I am very happy to share responsibility for the foundation with @luceos. We will be looking to incorporate more people into the foundation's board in the future - to enrich its vision and stability.

luceos Within the next couple of months we will unify many of the ecosystem portals into one central place for everything Flarum.
As you have noticed, we have switched to our previously announced and now completed new website. This allowed us to combine valuable elements of our ecosystem within one portal. Flarum.org, Extiverse.com and Blomstra.net are fused into one application to provide you with one central website for everything related to Flarum; information, extensions and commercial services.
Flarum commercial
The company formerly known as Blomstra, is now trading as Flarum BV - offering the same services as previously - mainly hosting, premium extensions and custom development. Flarum BV and the Flarum Foundation have set up an agreement to respect each other's roles, as well as maintaining continued support for the Open Source project.
Flarum BV, as before, acts as a commercial companion to the Foundation. To strengthen the position of Flarum in the global market of communities by offering suitable commercial services for Flarum and investing back into the ecosystem through different angles; including directly contributing to core or open source extensions, creating opportunities for extension developers, financially investing back into Flarum and pushing for more brand awareness.
Flarum 2.0 and Friends of Flarum.
A lot is going on at the moment: @SychO is putting a lot of effort into Flarum 2.0 - which you can read more about in our Staff Diary. We also want to boostBounty with additional support. The foundation will no longer substract any money from pledges and cover the costs of payment processing - allowing the maximum money to be available for developers to pick up and run with bounties. We recognize that a major part in Flarums' success is the ecosystem of awesome extensions existing. We are also exploring options on how to further boost @FriendsOfFlarum to keep updating those already awesome existing extensions. This will especially be important once we are able to release Flarum 2.0.
