Osmxnxn When I enter a command in Composer composer create-project flarum/flarum . I have two Flarum folders nested inside each other. Is this normal?
navindra Osmxnxn No, I don't think this is normal. A "flarum" file is create in . and many other files are created such as vendor/flarum/*. Please share the output of the command when you run it.
Osmxnxn Yes, I executed the command without the dots. Thought it was a mistake. Could this create a folder on the phone because of this?
Osmxnxn Also, please tell me, do you need to go into Composer only before entering the command indicated by the arrow? Or at the very beginning of step 7?
ernestdefoe Osmxnxn where are you getting those instructions from? They look nothing like the official installation instructions located here https://docs.flarum.org/install those are the ones you should be following.
Osmxnxn ernestdefoe Here is this detailed instruction. Unfortunately, I don't know much about Linux, so I'm using this step-by-step guide. https://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-install-flarum-community-software-on-ubuntu-24-04/
ernestdefoe Well they do make it much easier now to install Flarum even on shared hosts. They have archives on the page I linked you to that you can download and upload to any shared host as well. So no need to know Linux or anything like that.
