Different Ways to Vote

Voting is a useful feature. There should be the ability to enable voting based on tags. E.g. If is tagged as Q&A then you should be able to get voting on like in SO / SE where you can vote on each post and it can be sorted according to votes and accumulate reputation. If it a feature request then Voting like that you have in Uservoice where you have a limited votes which are returned when the issue is closed and the vote is on the top level. Also you may get reputation for accepted features. Reputation can be used to identify contribution to the community can unlock features.

Yes. Points System which will unlock permissions. If it is a feature vote then you do not accrue points for votes but on acceptance or some other scheme. This is not build in for the main competing product but would be useful.

I on the same page with sirinath on this. We are using Flarum (I love it) and Uservoice for our product but I think for users it is a little confusing. There are two forums you can post feedback/requests. Uservoice raises prices significantly so we need to move and we want to migrate posts to Flarum. Seing even simple vote for thread feature with sorting would be great. Statuses could be handled in the title of the thread.

There's already a gamification extension though. But I don't think it allows you to turn your Flarum into Stackoverflow.

clarkwinkelmann Since is a .ORG thing you should do it for free that way you can truly help this great project go stable faster. They are giving us something great for free so they don't have to pay us a cent. Just saying.

I'm possibly misinterpreting this due to my own language barrier, but let's just say that Clark has given this project a great deal, free of charge. Your remark is terribly misplaced.

ReFlar's Gamification extension uses the same voting/like logic as Reddit, up-vote, down-vote, and the level of hotness of the topic based on up-votes and down-votes.

If you're looking for something that has similar logic to StackOverflow or Discourse, you will be a bit disappointed as ReFlar is planning on focusing on unique features in the near-future. But surely, we will entail the same practices of traditional forum solutions such as Vbulletin or XenForo. I really love features from each software solution respectively (such as user notes).

But if you're looking for something within a particular request, it is best to pay a developer for their time to dedicate to your needs. And if you're among the good bunches that wish to share the extension you paid to be developed, you will be highly praised for it among the community for making it publicly available.
