Private Messaging / Direct Messaging

Is there currently a good replacement for the Shout/Whisper extension? I'd like to have the ability for users to directly message each other, and Byobu is interesting, but I like the UI of the Whisper extension 🙂

If there isn't anything currently available, then I've fixed up Whisper and am thinking about releasing it 🙂

neoncube kryne isn’t active anymore. I am certain people would be happy to see the extension revived.

I think I read they are planning to bring private message with Flarum v2.0, but I don’t think that has a set release date yet. I would personally be very interested in using your extension.

I would also be interested in bringing back Shout as that's way more traditional looking and to the point.
