If I understand right, the question is about getting an email notification whenever a new discussion is made regardless of category/tag. Yes?
This is a highly desired feature request in our community (or a weekly digest) because it's not a big community yet and people don't hang out there or check it regularly.
For the same reason, admins need this feature for open forums to monitor whether new posts are spammy or not. They are easily missed if there's no notification that new posts are made.
@datitisev, issue #768 is not in beta6, nor beta7 for that matter. Rather it's in the post v1 queue, which basically means "Sorry Charlie" at this point.
@AlexGrozav, we could really benefit from your solution as an extension. I don't have the skills. Any chance?
