Advice needed: How to mark a post as "to do"?

Hi,
I've got a self-hosted software support forum for some software products I sell.
Can anyone suggest how I can mark a question so that I know I still need to answer it? Sometimes I don't have time to answer immediately, and I when I get back to the forum I can no longer remember who's waiting for an answer.
I installed the "best answer" extension, but marking a post as "best answer" isn't quite right: sometime the OP will come back to the same topic with a new question (or a further question about the same subject), and then it's weird to remove the "best answer" label.
I guess if there was some way of creating a tag that only admins can see, I could create a "needs help" tag that could be easily added and removed. But I'm not seeing a way of creating tags that only admins can see.
Suggestions would be much appreciated!

TAW if you only need the mark for yourself and don't need to share them between admins, this extension might be what you need https://discuss.flarum.org/d/27698-post-bookmarks The post authors won't receive any notification and won't know that their posts have been (un)bookmarked.

clarkwinkelmann So I've installed the bookmarks extension, and it's excellent. I'm going to keep it installed for a few days and see if it works for me.
I'm just worried that it requires an action on the admin's part (me) to bookmark everything that's unanswered. I'm probably a little too lazy and inconsistent to remember to keep doing that. So in a certain way, I'd prefer everything to be marked as needing attention until I specifically mark it as closed (I won't forget to do that!)

luceos Looks good. In a certain way, read and unread status is probably the most obvious solution for this problem.
I was just wondering, though, what makes a post "read"? Is it just displaying it once? (Because I'm seeing that some posts seem to remain unread even though I've viewed them.)
I couldn't find any settings regarding what interaction should make a post "read", or how long it should be viewed. Are there any?
So, my only concern with an extension that marks posts as unread is that it might be too easy to accidentally turn them back into "read" – just by viewing them. Is that not a problem?

There aren't any settings in Flarum for this. Every time you open a discussion or scroll in a discussion, the last fully visible post is marked as your last read location of the discussion. I've sometimes had issues with not scrolling to the exact bottom on long discussions and the last post(s) remained unread. If the posts contains variable height content like images, there could be some unexpected behavior if the height changes while/after some content loads.

clarkwinkelmann Got it. (That's what I thought, but just as I was writing that post, there was an issue with a final post staying marked as unread no matter what. I think in the end it was a faulty interaction with the "split discussion" extension.)
