Username symbols/Display name

Hello! Is there any way to register with username in different encoding from latin, for example - Cyrillic? (username DanDin -> changein my native language ДанДин)

And if this suggestion cannot be done, is there any chance to add "Real name" to user profiles so users can enter their real names and some sort of setting to toggle show username or real name?

As far as I understand, now this opportunity has not yet been implemented? it is impossible, by analogy with the names of posts, to allow registering and converting Cyrillic usernames?

LankyBox01 it's a feature request, so it's usually not a problem bumping those. We prefer not duplicating existing feature requests.

The display name feature has indeed since been made possible in Flarum by exposing a displayName property and event, but we decided to leave the actual implementation to community extensions like Nickname Changer.

The question about using non-ascii in the username itself is still relevant and is being discussed in our non-english community support thread
