Issue with Extiverse/Flarum Premium Extension - Flarum-support

The issue

I purchased subscription for this extension - https://flarum.org/extension/v17development/flarum-support
But their installation instructions point to a missing package.

Flarum information

composer require v17development/flarum-support:"*"
./composer.json has been updated
Running composer update v17development/flarum-support
Loading composer repositories with package information
Updating dependencies
Your requirements could not be resolved to an installable set of packages.

  Problem 1
    - Root composer.json requires v17development/flarum-support, it could not be found in any version, there may be a typo in the package name.

Potential causes:
 - A typo in the package name
 - The package is not available in a stable-enough version according to your minimum-stability setting

 - It's a private package and you forgot to add a custom repository to find it

Is this extension active? Their instructions seem outdated - https://community.v17.dev/knowledgebase/9-installation-guide

Any idea how we can get this working? If not, how can we get our money back? Is there a process on flarum extension page to ask for refund?

roshanjonah have you done step 2, configuring the private Composer repository?

Extiverse has been renamed to Flarum.org and the UI is slightly different, but you should still find the token and configuration instructions in your Flarum.org account

I have added the following to our composer.json

"repositories": [{type": "composer", "url": "https://extiverse.com/composer/"}]

I then executed the following:

composer config --auth bearer.extiverse.com yourUniqueToken
composer require v17development/flarum-support:"*"

And I get the error listed above 🙁 Can't seem to reach their support either - tried slack, tried email and tried even LinkedIn of the developers.

roshanjonah go to https://flarum.org/dashboard/subscriptions and click the instructions button. It should guide you through the necessary steps. I will probably make this process simpler the coming months.

As for the reason it's failing, your composer.json has the wrong repository set, you added extiverse, which has been sunset.

For those struggling with a similar issues, this was because some extension providers were not updating their docs in line with the most recent changes.

This solved the issue for me. I had to go to the "Subscriptions" page and click on the "Instructions" button - which essentially takes you through a wizard of creating a new token, as pointed out by Daniel.

Then you just do this:

composer config bearer.flarum.org uniqueToken
composer config repositories.flarum composer https://flarum.org/composer
