Crazy bug with Flarum search engine, crashes API, doesn't return results

Well, the search engine of my Flarum installation blocks the API and does not return results. So it is able to search for users but when searching in the discussions it returns an error.

I have looked in the Chrome console and the error is as follows:

Your browser tried to fetch data from the forum.es/api/discussions endpoint using a GET request. The server encountered an internal error (500) and couldn't fulfill the request. Your application's error handling mechanism (likely bialert) caught this error and displayed a generic message asking the user to reload the page.

Any ideas?

I have tried uninstalling all extensions and the problem persists. Otherwise, the forum is working normally.

Oshvam any error message in the Flarum log or the webserver general log file?

If a 500 error is returned, there should be a log about it somewhere. Which log file will depend on whether the error happened at the Flarum level or at the PHP/webserver level.

The only notable error I find is this. Maybe it is because I installed custom indexes in my database, is there any way to restore the original indexes of the tables in Flarum?

Oshvam you'll need to either manually compare your database with a fresh version and manually create the missing indexes, or you could do a data-only dump of the database, create a fresh database for Flarum with the same extensions installed, then import the data-only dump into the fresh database.

clarkwinkelmann Hi, I finally solved it by following the instructions in this thread.

I removed the ‘title’ and ‘Content’ indexes from the post and discussion tables respectively. Then I ran the following queries:

ALTER TABLE fposts ADD FULLTEXT INDEX `content` (content);
ALTER TABLE discussions ADD FULLTEXT INDEX `title` (title);
