Permissions help

Hello everyone
I have a problem with permissions when installing the forum.

I am using a VPS with LAMP. I installed the forum inside the /var/www/html/forum folder and gave this folder permissions 775 (and recursively to all files and folders inside it) but it doesn't want to work.

I am hoping for your help on this.

LordZargum even if you chmod something to 775, if the files are owned by root it won't be accessible. Make sure the whole directory is chowned to the web user, sometimes this is www-data, but you will have to check your webserver configuration to confirm this.

I've already use:

chmod 775 -R /var/www/html/forum
chmod 775 -R /var/www/html/forum/public
chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html/forum
chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html/forum/public

but don't work

SOLVED: DocumentRoot corrupted. Now it's work!
