Ability to edit tags has disappeared for Admins

Suddenly my dropdown menu option for Admins on the Reply button to "Edit tags" on existing posts has disappeared. The "Edit Author and Date" option still exists.

This is a central option I use on my forum every few days, so I know it happened recently -- within the past 5 days.

In this time I have upgraded to 1.8.8 and also added and removed or deactivated several extensions. (I suppose they are listed in a log if needed). This is occurring on both my main site and a separate "testbed" copy installed about a week ago on a separate VPS and also updated to 1.8.8 and with extensions added/subtracted/turned off and on.

Could someone please check your installation and see if the "edit tags/categories" in the dropdown next to the Reply button has disappeared (at the top of the post) for the Admin user(s)? Thanks much in advance.

Thank you. Yes, that's it. It's missing from my drop-down. It must be related to my new extensions, I'll start working through them.

Here's my menu at the moment:

OK, I systematically turned off, then removed the various new extensions I installed, cleared cache, turned off Cloudflare caching, etc. None of that worked.

Then I removed a couple of lines of custom css I had added to suppress a few tags in the left sidebar that I wanted gone. (That worked, but it did too much.)

THAT fixed it. For some reason these lines:

.Dropdown-menu .item-tags { display: none; }

killed my Edit Tags menu item on the dropdown.

Thanks to @Subarist for the help and anyone else who started thinking about this.

I guess the lesson for me is just because you fixed something doesn't mean you didn't break something else in the process.

I think this is what caused it:

.Dropdown-menu .item-tags { display: none; }

If you have similar requirements in other views, it might be better to specify the parent elements more clearly.

Some thing like:

.IndexPage-nav .item-tags { display: none; }

Thanks for that tip -- I am learning the limits of my ability to properly learn css solely through combined use of Inspect Element and random search results for suppressing something via css. I'll see if I can get it to work.

OK -- just used your css suggestion, and I achieved what I had before but with no impact on the dropdown/Edit Tags or anywhere else. Thanks again!
