Umutcan Hi, first of all, thank you for your support for the Modern Footer extension so far.
Before the 0.7 update, the buttons actually used the primary color. However, based on the feedback I received, I switched to using the secondary color to ensure better compatibility with dark mode and all themes. The custom CSS code you provided is a nice solution to meet your request.
At some point, I plan to give you full control and customization of the footer. However, there are some important areas that need to be worked on first.
My plans include:
- Allowing you to decide how all colors will appear in both dark and light modes.
- Adjusting the horizontal width of the blocks.
- Adding extensive customization options for the blocks, including elements like About, HTML, text, links, recent discussions, forum statistics, Google Maps, and the ability to decide which widget is used in which block.
- Creating a drag-and-drop and editable interface for managing block areas, similar to WordPress’s widget page or Afrux Forum Widgets Core.
These are the ideas and roadmap I have in mind. However, since these are major changes and every update we make to this extension will affect hundreds of forums currently using it, I’m hesitant. I haven’t made a final decision yet, but it’s also possible to develop a completely new extension with these features.
