Wlork

Thank you for your work. I really like these simple but useful extensions.

Wlork I'm glad you liked it. I currently have no plans to add new features to this extension. My goal is to make it more optimized and minimize its impact on site loading speed.

By the way, it has been reported that it is not compatible with GB Password Strength. This is expected due to their similar functionality. If you need more features, you can use the GB Password Strength extension instead.

v1.0.0 — Quality & Standards Update

This release is all about code quality, maintainability, and CI/CD. The main goal was to prepare the 1.x version for this before Flarum 2.x. Most likely, the 2.x version will also be released later today.

What's new

Flarum 1.8+ requirement — now requires flarum/core ^1.8.0 and PHP 8.1+.
Static Analysis — PHPStan level 6 with flarum/phpstan, running on every push via GitHub Actions across PHP 8.1–8.5.
CI/CD Pipelines — GitHub Actions using Flarum's official reusable workflows for both backend (PHPStan) and frontend (Prettier, TypeScript checks).
Code Style — StyleCI with Laravel preset, Prettier for JS/LESS formatting.
Test Infrastructure — PHPUnit integration and unit test scaffolding ready for future test coverage.
Tooling — EditorConfig, .gitattributes for clean dist packages, yarn as the JS package manager (migrated from npm).

Upgrading

composer update huseyinfiliz/show-password
php flarum cache:clear

No breaking changes, just update and you're good to go.

🚀 Show Password 2.x Update

Show Password now fully supports Flarum 2.x! 🎉

Demo: flarum2.huseyinfiliz.com

What changed?

The extension has been updated and simplified for Flarum 2.x:

Direct LogInModal / SignUpModal imports replaced with string-based extend() for lazy-loaded module compatibility
JavaScript source converted to TypeScript (js/src/forum/index.ts)
Extension logic simplified to only toggle password visibility — removed unnecessary autocomplete attribute manipulation and inline styles that were in the 1.x version
Added tsconfig.json for TypeScript support
Webpack config renamed to .cjs format
package.json updated with @flarum/prettier-config and webpack-cli v5
Deprecated PHPUnit 9 attributes removed from test configs
Rebuilt dist output

The extension does one thing and does it well: adds an eye icon to password fields on LogIn and SignUp modals to toggle visibility. Nothing more, nothing less.

How to install

composer require huseyinfiliz/show-password:"2.0.0-beta.1"
php flarum cache:clear

Or use Extension Manager to install.

Capybara

In beta 8, the eye icon shifted slightly, but it still works 👀

huseyinfiliz

Capybara I noticed that some icons in Flarum core and many others have changed positions. I’ll check whether this is a bug or if the extension needs an update. Thanks for reporting it.

I think that because of the additional label in Version 2, the top 50% no longer applies.
With 70%, it's back in the middle.

.Form-group input[name="password"] + .eye-button {
  position: absolute;
  right: 5%;
  top: 70%;
  transform: translateY(-50%);
  cursor: pointer;
}

Tutrix Thanks!
