We would like to ensure that no one knows who was online when in order to protect privacy. Of course, this can be deactivated, but our target group is not that interested.

the gap only applies to users who have made their online status visible!

it is somehow very disappointing that @flarum does not disable it by default. That would increase the privacy of users.

If someone wants people to see when they are or were online, they should set it manually in the settings. We also have many users who are not skilled enough to deactivate it manually.
