If two instances on the same server started misbehaving at the same time without anything else changing, it's almost always an issue with the server. Ports being blocked, php version changed, database issues, etc.. The only way we can know for sure is with the logs, and that information is part of the troubleshooting guide as @GreXXL pointed out. So even though your installation (php flarum info) never changed, these kind of issues will require the latest log errors in order for us to be of help.
So, it's not that we want to be a nuisance, it's just easier if we can get all information at once. We're trying to quickly resolve all reported problems, but if we have to go back and forth asking for more information or we need to look back at older topics, it's reducing the amount of problems we can resolve for all of our audience.
