Installing Flarum on netcup (shared hosting)

I am really lost, as I have little knowledge about hosting. I manage to get a WordPress instance running but that's it 😆

I want to host my own Flarum community on my servers hosted by netcup. As I understood it's shared hosting.

I can't find a noob step by step instruction on how to do this.
I even managed pulling it via GitHub, but I cannot access the directory to start installing and configuring... Help please! Explain to me like to a 6 year old 😜

pick a zip that suits the php version of your hosting environment and probably the one without a public path, unzip it locally and upload with ftp, then hit the website url and follow the rest of the instructions

Follow up question: is there any extension that can import my backup from freeflarum to my self hosted version? I am not skilled enough to make this via SQL or whatever... If not, then I will just have to make all adjustments by hand again. I had no community or posts or whatever. Just appearance and extensions
