Refresh on logo click?

While using esoTalk I've gotten into the habit of clicking on the site logo to reload the "all conversations" list. Since clicking on the Flarum logo doesn't seem to do anything when you're looking at the "all discussions" list, I was wondering if this wouldn't be a good feature to add. Or perhaps you have bigger plans for the logo?

Well, as long as it's not doing anything ... but perhaps there's an even better use for it?

EDIT: Come to think of it, it might be nice if we could use it as a "home" button. All you'd need to do is add a URL field for it in the ACP. So clicking the logo for this forum, for example, could take you to http://flarum.org. (I've seen other forum scripts use the logo this way.)

We now have the new "refresh" button (it's an icon) in the discussion list, so that should become your new habit. 😉

... The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of allowing the main page logo to link to another site.

It would be especially useful when the forums are just one part of a larger website complex.

Dominion The problem with that is that most people (such as yourself) are accustomed to the forum logo taking them back to the forum homepage. So linking to another homepage would be confusing.

True ... but there are other forum scripts that do it.

Perhaps a tooltip on the logo would be one way to avoid the confusion?

Dominion Personally I think the Flarum logo should just take you back to the forum index, which is what it currently does. But for the time being, I think if you're on the homepage and you click the Flarum logo, it should refresh the index page.

Refreshing the index page is certainly better than being clickable and doing nothing...

The reason I made the second suggestion is, in cases when the forum is part of a larger site, Flarum offers no handy way to link back to a home page. This is no problem for this forum, because there's always the "Powered by Flarum" link at the bottom that does the same thing. But when I use the software on my own site, I'll be replacing the Flarum logo with our own logo. It would make some sense if a user could click that to get back to the main site.

But this is not a big deal, since this is the sort of customization that even someone with my poor skills can manage without too much difficulty. 😉

Dominion One idea is to add a "Home" link next to the logo, like the "Chat" and "Report a Bug" links on this forum.
