I really admire the honest open feedback of development on the critical remarks of the community.

Franz I also need to ask you to see the other side (and I know we keep saying this over and over), though: yes, this is very much a volunteer project. Which means we are limited by the rest of our lives.

However, isn't that exactly what some are asking. Why? If Flarum is really making other forum software nervous and it's the biggest upset in forum software ever... How hard is it to hear a developer say it's a volunteer project and they also have other priorities.

Believe me I understand the dilemma but if you give the community something amazing and then say that it's what you do as a side job... You gonna get some response...

@luceos Did so months ago and did it again since I thought I missed something but don't see what you mean... Franz did mention he has other priorities in life right...? That is absolutely ok and with three children and 10 hobbies I am certainly not having any remark on someone having... a life, but... When you develop an awesome piece of software and state you also have other priorities, people are going to ask on the prioritization. Nothing more, nothing less...

This whole discussion started when @Qarizma replied to the 150th remark of Flarum being the best Forum software ever developed, crushing all the competitors and making other software developers sweating their pants off... Qarizma just stated that he questions the successfulness in the current rate of development, which is a good point he makes.

And I think we can all agree Flarum has evolved from being a failed kickstart project...

I'm just, like many others getting more and more frustrated by the constant notes on the amazing potential of Flarum when I'm checking in every Monday on the possibility to finally use it in production for the Forum of our Sportsbrand... And every Monday I communicate to my colleague and owner of our brand that it's just not quite ready yet... "please have patience", I say... arrrgghhhh...

Drilling-Billy if you allow me to be the devil in the can; use it in production. Or get a list of what is blocking you to do so and get an extension dev fix it up or do the PR's against flarum to make it happen in the next release.

luceos Yes... We discussed it last week and our website developers came with the same advise and were much less intimidated by the word Beta as I was... And we are not on a massive community and/or hard-core forum users. Just people finding other people and us for help and communication. I guess what any forum should facilitate before even adding smileys to the usability... ? Thanks for your patience and peaceful words.

Quite a breeze to install and lookin' really nice so far. Looking forward to the next steps for Flarum, got a little test instance running and it looks neat ? Keep up the great work
