A flagrow or flarum file upload extension?

UaMV Do you anticipate that Flarum would be developing a similar native extension for file uploads? Or do you anticipate that this one would be the one most widely adopted? I have that same question for this image uploader extension. I've been hesitant to implement it as I consider forward compatibility.

Adoption is not something I have any influence on. As to maintaining this and other Flagrow extensions, I currently see no reason why I'd stop that now or for any future version of Flarum. Nevertheless I cannot guarantee any release soon for a more generic file upload extension, it really depends on the time I have. If more people show interest I might commit to it sooner ?

Let me re-phrase my question (which I suppose is better answered by @Toby or @Franz). I am more interested as to whether there may be any future plans for development of a base extension that would take care of file uploads. I remember seeing someone talking of developing a 3rd-party extension for private discussions. However, this is something I would not want to employ, knowing that a base extension is planned for this very purpose. From the roadmap, I don't see any plans for a base extension that allows file uploads … but wanted to confirm. If one were in the works down the road, I'd be hesitant to employ Flagrows version.

If Flagrow won't adopt the file upload (awesome if they do). I am sure someone will do. When? Sorry to say that is something i cannot predict.

UaMV as for an extension, if Flarum was going to make a first party extension, it wouldn't happen until after stable.
