clarkwinkelmann When the same user wants to reuse a file, they can pick the file from their gallery
Maybe I didn't speak very clearly.I mean when multiple users upload the same file, there will be duplicate uploads
clarkwinkelmann If many users are uploading the exact same large file, what is the use case?
When users discuss content narrowed to a specific scope, there is a chance that their uploads will be duplicated. Here is a simple example: a singer released a song with MV and cover, user A uploaded this song, user B uploaded the MV of this song, and user C also uploaded the above two, All four users uploaded covers of the song. Assuming that uploading this song will be subjected to DMCA, then this is relatively unfriendly to the website administrator; assuming that DMCA is not required, an excessively large MV size will also occupy storage space repeatedly.
The file manager can indeed handle the problem of uploading the same file by a single user, but it seems that fof/upload does not take into account the situation of multiple users.
Of course, the above is just my personal opinion. Maybe my understanding of the working mechanism of fof/upload is not perfect, please forgive me if I am wrong
