I cannot install this extension:

[InvalidArgumentException]
Could not find package xengine/flarum-ext-signature at any version for your minimum-stability (beta). Check the package spelling or your minimum-stability

jordanjay29 Extum/Arda took over this extension as part of an agreement to continue to work on the extension for beta 8.

The entire repo/project was transfered as even the old packagist Github repo URL now points to Extum's repo (judging by the issues alone).

What's the remedy for when an extension owner passes on their extension to a new owner to continue the work, with regards to a new discussion or OP switch? ?

jordanjay29 I will be opening a new discussion after I finish some work with it. By then, you can install it using:

      composer require extum/flarum-ext-signature:dev-master

I don't know how to use this plugin, and I can't install it on beta7,it tells me can't search it.But why?

      It seems like this:
      [root@iz2ze5bh2113hkwcyk6afnz ****]# composer require xengine/flarum-ext-signature

      [InvalidArgumentException]

Could not find a version of package xengine/flarum-ext-signature matching your minimum-stability (beta). Require it with an explicit version constraint allowing its desired stability.

Leanna there was a new developer who was going to take this over, but they never finished updating it for beta 8. Anyone else is free to fork it, but it's my understanding that XEngine has moved on from Flarum.

I'm curious as to why forum posts still "need" signature blocks. In my view (which may be jaded or wrong 😁), this is what the bio is for. Flarum has a neatly aligned interface and small post text accompanied by a huge signature block looks awful.

It's 2020 guys - not 1990. How will this look on mobile devices, and is it really what you need ?

[deleted] people just enjoy nostalgia and are stuck in time 🙂 (it's also very common to use in Anime/Manga/Gaming communities still).

Ralkage true. I see these all the time - mostly holiday and download screenshots for internet speed and really can't see the fascination.

[deleted] and really can't see the fascination.

Maybe they want to turn away users like you and me who might threaten other members with posts more substantial than a signature.
