This really is for the better. I don't think there's anyone on here that doesn't want it out right now.
The problem is, if they released right now to meet deadlines, everybody would download it and try to run it.
Then the omg everything is broken please fix / explain workaround would start. A lot would become disillusioned with flarum and think if only it were better and with less bugs and quit. Some of course would stick with it. Plus it would actually hinder the progress since dev's would have to deal with a whole host of new problems about usability. See the thing is (in my experience) being able to break a program actually helps you fix it faster rather then worrying, will changing this cause some kind of regress?
Point is, right now everyone is on the same page, it's coming. The dev's know what needs to be finished before releasing it - there's even a checklist for you to follow

Kulga I do appreciate @Toby @Franz and all devs who working hard on Flarum to be ready for beta testing 💕👍👍👍 . I know developing such an awesome forum takes time. But here's the thing, when you give hope to someone about estimating time for something to come, you should give them a little longer time than it actually takes, to prevent making them disappointed when that thing not ready yet.

The fix for that is simple, you can do it on your own. Take any announcement (not only here, but everywhere), and add one month to the date they have provided. Set your "hopes" to that new date.

If the announcement deadline is met, it will catch you by surprise, it will be a gift. If it isn't, you have given yourself enough buffer time.

Well, one could argue that the lyrics are sort of on-topic. Or rather, that the topic is like a song lyric.

After all, cries of "Oh no, it's going to be delayed again?!" tend to be repeated as predictably as the refrain of a song. 😉

I think the main point was that we heard July 13th was the release date,then the end of July and now the middle of August. I don't mind if Beta changes happen often and it's just a simple upgrade etc. I did have a chance to promote the forum some where but now sadly that won't be happening
