Email and facebook are functional with flarum. I don't know what your exact agreement was, but these things require you or someone to set it up properly. It's outside the scope of a standard install and should be a specified requirement before work is started, else be a paid addition.

But Without fix these 2 things i cant use it as a production ? i just ask him about it and he never replied me and today i got above reply .. lol

@BlackSheep what hosting service are you using to do the setup? I feel pretty comfortable trying the install on my own but I just want to make the process as pain-free as possible for myself. No need to bother you unless I'm running into issues, but do you have any tips for someone not very familiar with flarum? I understand ssh/linux commands quite well and have no problem setting up a db, but I'm a lot less familiar with setting up nginx/ssl properly.

fox There are a few install scripts out there, including one by me and a forked one by @webeindustry with improvements to it.

They are simple scripts that quickly setup the install of a new server.
Perhaps examine them and see the process? May give a idea of how to quickly setup flarum and adjustments you can make to it.

Mine is based on Digital Ocean as a host, but it's definitely not limited to that.

fox what hosting service are you using to do the setup?

I do not have the choice there. I install on the machine the client already has. If not, I recommend DO. Personally, I do prefer Scaleway. On theses situation, I install Flarum alongside Debian & Nginx.

Do you develop custom extensions? Can you install flarum on non ssl/ssh hosts with Cpannel ?

I can install flarum on host with Cpanel and SSH access. Well, to say the truth I can install Flarum on host without SSH but i do not recommend it and it's a barbaric way to do things ?. Shout me a e-mail anyway ?

testusering You need to make an account for Blacksheep with SUDO rights and give him the username/password so he can set up the forum.

This is so you can delete the user that Blacksheep uses so he cannot access your server after his job is done. You want to have this account for him, and not let him use yours, to protect yourself.

testusering You have to use some operating system. Those are two of the most popular. Which one do you prefer besides Ubuntu or CentOS?

RHEL? Follow CentOS.

Debian? Follow Ubuntu's guide, they should be similar enough.

What are you using?

Can you advise me then a host? Not very expensive but can hold a lot of bandwidth.
