@Antoine Could you add a feature where a minimum number of characters is required in a post to earn a monetary value? This should prevent people from bumping and posting annoying stuff just to accumulate money points.

I would suggest that to earn a money per post your post character count shouldn't be less than 100 for example.
I believe this will make a forum more engaging and have useful content.

collins I'd complement that request by saying it would be awesome if there was a textfield where we could type and choose the amount of characters we want as minimum for our users to earn money. Nice suggestion!

@collins and AndiGilang It won't be done in this extension, maybe I'll create one which provides a place to buy some items with your money or even buy money with real money but that's not what I will do first.
A leaderboard is planned but it asks more code than other features.

SierraKiloGulf I'll add support for the Likes extension before and after I'll see if I could integrate other extensions.

@Antoine. Another suggestion. I think there should be some sort of permissions in place to define or restrict which tags or topics that members can earn money from. There are situations where it may not be necessary to enable money for members on some tags or discussions.

I hope my suggestion is clear enough.

Also, I hope to see a leaderboard feature to enable admin see to earners.
Lastly, I would also like to know if its possible to add a payment API that can automatically handle money redeeming requests. Once you reach your payout point, members can redeem their pay by clicking some button or stuff like that.

Idea: option in admincp where we can change the money of all the users AT THE SAME TIME. multiplying x(EXAMPLE). (where EXAMPLE can be any number, ex 0.5)
The idea is to use this when we change the values of the money given by the publications, likes, etc, and we need to change all the money given previously

This is really great, are you still working on this Antoine? I have some thoughts on how a currency should be created and this is a big part of what I want to create with my community:

The currency should be scarce, but the quantity in circulation should also increase with the number of users.
Users need to be able to trade with each other freely with prices set by the market.
Community currency cannot be exchanged for 'real money' (at least within the community), if you want money, you have to earn it.

That's basically it. With this in mind, I'd like to propose the following features:

Automatic payment to new users
Referrals, or option to make payment to another user on sign-up
Transfer of funds between users, e.g. 'tipping' of posts

What do you guys think?

You can add a minimum length for a post to give money in the extension settings.
I also updated the code to the new namespaces in the next-back branch.

If it doesn't work, try to disable and enable the extension.

When I will have a bit more time, I will add some code to give money to users when they register.
For your 2 other suggestions, it requires more development, and I won't do it now.

drdonzo I have a test forum on my computer but no public one. I develop this because I think it would be useful if I ever open a forum. It's also a good way to improve my PHP skills ?

Antoine I have an idea. Back in the day there was an extension for vBulletin called as "market". Combined with money extension. Market had items such as "create your own tag", "kick a moderator", "ban a user", "colored username", "username change right" etc. wouldn't it be cool if users could spend their money? ?

Antoine Thanks for making this! You might want to update the icon setting in composer.json, as your extension is currently the only one with a transparent background. See this composer example of an icon with background.
