Hello,

Is it possible to change the error message non-accepted users receive?

When I send a locked link to a user who’s not logged in, the receive an error rather than telling them to login to access the page.

FriendsOfFlarum I met a problem. It is OK when I create a post with a user , but a problem when i add a group to the provate post:

Thanks so much for the hard work being put in this extension.

I wanted to use it only for the members to ask private queries to mods or admins and not for member to member private communication. Since they can't ask personal questions in the public discussions. Like a support ticket system somewhat. Can there be a setting addded which will allow a member to start a private discussion with only an admin or mod? Or it is already there? Thank you so much in advance.

I can't seem to add groups to a byobu discussion. When I do, it errors out. Can't access the console, as I am on FreeFlarum.

Thoran I think I know what is happening. Was a user deleted that was currently a recipient of the discussion?

I have only two recipients, me and one group. I have one group deleted in the past but it wasnt one of them.
Creating discussion with users only works fine.

How can I change private state to everyone? I can copy paste but I dont want to delete post id.

( domain.com/d/post_id-blabla ) I dont want to have to delete private discussion after copy paste to new discussion which is open to everyone. This feature is essential in wordpres etc. I can use draft extension but sometimes I make it private for make private. May be I can make it public after 3 months. Why there is no this feature? Thank you.

Although different from the classic private messages system, I found this extension as a really interesting new way to communicate privately or in groups. Choosing tags in private discussions is great when I want to discuss some specific topics, but it would be great if choosing tags is not a mandatory option. There are moments when you want to talk or ask someone something else.

I think that it would be great if this extension can offer as an option to choose one tag as a default one for private discussions. The default tag would be selected if there are any recipients chosen and not tags chosen. That tag than would be on top of others, as I tried to picture below.

This is a relatively simple solution that wouldn't change the nature of this extension (for which I understand you developers don't want to be classic private messages system) but would please all of us that are looking for something more personal.

I think I have an issue :

In a user parameters I blocked private message
But when put specific recipients in a message, I still see it and I can save my message
- No error message
- The messsage is sent to the user

Is there any known issue?

You replicated by trying to send a message to yourself from another account ?

clarkwinkelmann Your right. I just checked with a non-admin user (the sender) and I wasn't authorize to send the message 🙂.
Would be possible to not even appears in the list when choosing the recipients?

Continued on my previous post, without further complicating, I think that the solution can be even simpler for development. While at the same time users who want something closer to private messaging can be satisfied.

Suggestion:

Option to group all private discussions under the Private Discussions tab.

It can be the same as All Discussions, but instead of showing all discussions from all tags, it will show only private discussions from all tags.

I would be more than happy to pay someone to "prioritize" work on this solution. Hope you will accept this and someone will get back to me 🙂
